For decades, Rapport Leadership has stood firm in our belief that our flagship course, Leadership Breakthrough One, is most effective in open-enrollment settings, where diverse participants from different industries and generations learn and grow together.

We cherished the dynamic, varied perspectives these public sessions provided. It’s easy to become complacent when consistently seeing profound transformation in people’s personal growth.

However, we recently faced an intriguing opportunity: offering a private class to a progressive mastermind with a group of people who knew each other well.

Initially, we hesitated, clinging tightly to the assumption that private Leadership Breakthrough One classes could never replicate the richness and depth of open courses. Nevertheless, we challenged our long-held beliefs and explored this new possibility. We recognized the opportunity to JFDI and fully committed to it.

The results surprised us profoundly.

The private class model didn’t dilute our program but enhanced it by fostering deeper trust and vulnerability within a team already familiar with each other. We observed quicker breakthroughs, stronger accountability, and accelerated trust.

Through this journey, we learned valuable lessons:

  1. Challenge Assumptions: Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn’t mean it’s the only way.
  2. Adaptability Fuels Growth: Being open to new methods and formats can lead to unexpected, highly beneficial outcomes.
  3. Deeper Relationships Accelerate Results: Familiarity within private groups allows participants to bypass initial trust barriers, facilitating quicker and deeper learning experiences.

Our experience underscored the importance of continually examining and testing our beliefs, approach, and assumptions. By embracing change, we didn’t just broaden our approach—we elevated our impact, and everyone won.
